We are Shirley - May Edition
Shirley Shows
Life is a succession of moments. While the vast majority of these can be inconsequential, every now and then there comes a moment where you know that things will never be the same again. We're talking about those kind of moments - we're talking about the Oxford Punt 2006 (Wed 10th May). One night, six venues, nineteen acts. After the last chords have faded into memory, will you be able to say that you were there at The City Tavern to witness the most intense, feisty Shirley set EVER? We certainly hope so. The choice is yours. We're on first, so don't be late (on stage 8.30)
Just in case the Punt's not an option for you, don't panic. 48 hours later you have the opportunity to catch us at The Jericho Tavern. Still no good for you ? Ok then, we'll see you at The Wheatsheaf the following night! May is the month of momentum.
To avoid disappointment, remember to always check with our website before travelling.
News
Last week we spent a couple of extremely productive days in the studio. Leaving overdubs and technical wizardry to a minimum, we just laid the tracks down the way they were meant to be, with plenty of passion, energy and aplomb. We're finishing everything off at the weekend with the aim to have it all ready for The Punt.
Tracks laid down were Susan's garden Shed, Try, Pretty (complete with beautifully reworked ending), Beautiful Sober and Shanghai My Heart. We are very excited about the end result and are really enjoying working with James.
It could be You!

A lot of People have been asking us...
Whether we have a plugger. If truth be told, currently we don't but obviously we recognise the importance of having one. Initial enquiries have allowed us to discount any plumbing connections (thanks for that Bob) leaving us now to concentrate our efforts on exploring the field of DIY. This may seem unusual and perhaps old-fashioned but we just like to know what something is before we get one. We'll keep you posted.
