A lot of People have been asking us…
What the greatest disappointment is that we've had to deal with as a band. The recent scientific study of Seahorses and the resultant expose of their fabled fidelity as a myth has been hard to take. We've had to scupper our 'Seahorse' concept album based on the recent revelations. Their delicate beauty and grace in the water remains unquestionable, but it turns out that they are nothing more than common flirts. Astonishing levels of promiscuity were reported and not just with members of the same sex. As our readers will be aware, the tell-tale sales of courtship and flirtation (colour changes, synchronised swimming and knotting of tails) were recorded at an astonishing 25 times per day for each individual. Our only consolation was that the British spiny variety remained faithful to their partners, unlike the roguish Australian big-bellied species and the Caribbean slender, so we're not counting out an exclusive UK-release option. It would be a shame to undo a lot of the band's good work. Al came up with a lovely watery guitar effect and Johnny's been grafting away at reproducing the blue-whale call through a combination of distortion and lots of compression on his bass. We're also looking into using a lot of the soundtracks for a meditation CD. Paul Bullimore (our favoured marine curator) probably summed up our disappointment best, referring to our little aquatic friends as 'indiscriminate and shameless creatures'
