News

TopOfTheOX - we're delighted to announce that we finished 9th overall. Thanks to everyone who voted for us throughout the competition and our congratulations to Sarah Warne, the overall winner. In recognition for the music we produce we've been nominated for Best Band at the TopOfTheOx awards ceremony to be held at the Winners Concert on 11th November 2007. The prestigious venue for the night is the brand new 1,500 capacity Carling Academy, Cowley Road, Oxford. It’s going to be a night to remember for everyone involved with press, radio and music industry representatives present who have been involved in the competition over the past 6 months.

It could be You!

This month’s lucky winner of the Shirley prizedraw is Simon Grieveson.
Everyone on our mailing list gets automatically entered each month, so if there’s someone out there not on it, make sure they sign up!

A lot of People have been asking us...

Why no level of support is provided for our fans during prolonged quiet Shirley spells. We recognise that this is an extremely valid issue. We grossly underestimated the implications both psychologically and emotionally for our fanbase being denied live exposure for such a prolonged period time and for that we can but sincerely apologise. At our recent monthly strategy meeting is was suggested that we set up Shirley Support - a non-profit making ancillary support organisation for Shirley fans suffering from withdrawal and general lack of direction. We are hoping to provide a 24 hour helpline. We know that sometimes listening to Vintage just isn't quite enough. It's time for us to recognise our responsibilities and shepherd the flock appropriately. See you soon. You are not forgotten.
