Heavy Love Video
Weather and film crew permitting, we should be completing the filming in Brighton on Sunday 20th.

Fan of the year
Special mention has to go to Trevor Dean for winning our highly coveted Fan of the Year award. Trev has been a pillar in the Shirley fan community, a paragon of support and encouragement, a regular face at gigs both in Oxford and further a field and has offered much helpful advice and feedback. In Trev’s own words ‘Really enjoyed watching you guys play. It's been a lot of fun. 2008 hmm sounds like the year of rock to me.’

Coming soon
We’ll be adding a new ‘Shirley speaks to local hero’s section to the newsletter soon. We’re planning to interview movers and shakers on the local Oxford music scene. People who are making a real difference. We want to highlight their contribution in line with our share the success ethos.

New Songs
We’re working on a couple of new corkers - ‘Rhythm of my Heart’ and ‘Where are you Bella’ and hoping to have one ready in time to showcase on the 9th.

A lot of People have been asking us...

What our take is on new year resolutions ? Well we quite like the approach adopted by Boots where you concentrate on one thing at a time. So how about doing everything in your power to help support us this year, and forget about everything else ?!! As for ourselves, we’re waiting until our Shirley strategy summit this month to get our goals defined for the year. Probably safe to say that getting busier on the gig front will be in there. Chatting to the influential life coach Lisa Nichols recently, we’re liking her dual CD boombox in the head analogy, where one CD plays the positive tracks and one the negative that we’ve picked up on our journey through life. We’ll certainly be looking to lay more of the former and delete some of the later in 2008. Be well.
